Guys,
I did 3 Years Diploma in Computer Science after 10+2(Non Medical) from India and I have about 16 years of experience in IT. I am thinking of using this education to complete my Bachelors here in US. I would like to know what would my education equate to US Education.
I need an Idea how many courses I would have to take to complete the Bachelors? Please share any tips that would help me take less number of courses.It's not easy with kids.

Dear All,
I just received a FP notice for my wife scheduled for Sep 19, 2007. I have not received mine yet (I am the primary applicant), I have a few questions regarding this. Please help me if you have any information.

PLEDGE: A solemn promise or agreement to do or refrain from doing something. Example, a pledge of aid; a pledge not to wage war.
Situation:
More or less, all of us are aware of the importance of IV.org and how much IV means to us as an organization AND as an entity that strives to help us get out of the gut of current immigration situation.
We also know that a day will arrive when we (and spouse/kids) will have Green card in our hands.
If not next month, perhaps in another 6 months for some people. Or perhaps a year or two away and to some people, unfortunately, even longer.
But we will get it one day.
IV is a very active organization who is working hard in our best interest and it does not matter how you get the Green Card, IV will have, direct or indirect, contribution to it.
Proposal:
There was a thread going around few months ago on "how will you celebrate the day you get greened?" Some prefer throwing a party, some prefer vacation, some would overload gallons of alcohol in their body or some would donate money to their respective temples or church.
These are all good things to do. (OK. May be not the alcohol part) :)
In addition to the above, I invite you to celebrate that day by flowing some donation to IV. Just as a token of saying THANK YOU. This will help IV to continue to fight for other folks out there.
I invite you make a sincere pledge TODAY on how much money you would like to donate to IV on the day you get greened.
Nobody is going to twist your arm if you decide not to donate, but I trust that most of the people takes pride in keeping their word once given.
Even if 50 people among us get their green cards each month and each one of them decides to donate $100, it will amount to $5,000 to IV and it will help them fight for a cause for rest of the people out there.
No pressure.
Just an idea.
I myself pledge for $250 donation today.
Others are welcome to participate.

You are right... you should not submit documents with your LC first submission. In my case, they asked for some documents after my submisission(what it's called Audit); one of them was the Ad which they were not satisfied with it, so they Denied my case. However we appealed sending the whole Ad page making them change the case back to 'In Process'.
If you are still around, I just wanted to let you know that my PERM labor got approved on May 1st. It was filed on Oct 31st. No audit. Looking at your signature, looks like they also approved your LC. Congratulations!

But the website yesterday indicated that they had collected the funds to take care of moving Mahesh and his stuff to India, and that's why they stopped the collections.

After QGA and IV and all of us sending so many faxes etc, they did not even mention about EB visa issue in the SJC.

in the least balming anyone. I for one feel IV has done exemplary work.
But the critical question is do we need to do anything different ?

I read in one of the core memebrs post that IV members are in DC talking to senators office. Did senators office play ignorant in the SJC after being sympathetic to us ? What baffles me atleast, is the total
apathy and seeming ignorance to our issue on the part of senators. After all

irrational - Sorry to say this is little bit unlucky case. This happened to me also. My case got transferred to VSC from TSC in July 2009 and from then it is sitting there with no progress. Taken info pass but no use. (Yet to think about the next steps!).
I applied for EAD and AP in Aug last week and got the approved copies in Sep second week. I sent the application to TSC.
mmanurker - Can you please tell me how long your application was present in VSC? Also did you do anything to move it back to TSC or NSC.
My little daughter's got shuffled from TSC-VSC (NBC?) and after several months got a mail transferred back to TSC. I talked with IO twice, one time I was told they got it back in last oct and this evening I wanted to know if it is pre-adjudicated, IO said it does not show in their system....To follow it is so frustrating

See the thin is as far as the status goes I believe one is not on Immigrant status unless one gets the GC; and their are only two statuses, Immigrant and Non-Immigrant for us (or I guess illegal, which we are not for sure)!!
So do you think using EAD gives a person an Immigrant status in turn losing his non-immigrant status?

My clients will be in USA and they will be paying my company in India. I will be on the board of the company , and will be doing voluntary marketing and promotional work for the company while residing in USA.

Your H-1b must be sponsored by a US company. H-1b terms require you to gainfully work only for that employer. As long as your US tax returns do not show any other source of income and show you have been working fulltime for your sponsoring employer, you should be fine.
They do not bother with foreign wages or what you do with your free time ( as long as it inot a second job).

Hi
I was also tested possitive due to vaccination in India. did the skin test and X-ray. I talked to my family Dr.(and couple of my Dr. Freinds.) and they all told me that my body will allways react to this test due to vaccination and if X-ray is fine we do not need any medication. In US all the Dr. has to get the test once a year and those vaccinated in their native country has to get an X-ray to confirm it as the test is allways possitive for them.
I would say Consult another Dr. just to be sure.

Just updating my case in case someone is going through same situation and need help.
I mailed the two pictures that they requested on June 2nd, as today, my online status hasn't change, still says: Request of evidence sent, case placed on hold.
I made an INFOPASS appointment last friday and I just came back from talking with an immigration agent. They will expedite my I-131 for free, they said they normally do it within 30 days but he liked me and he said he was going to try to get in just 5 days.
He said he sent a request thought their intranet to the TEXAS SERVICE CENTER, they should be calling me if they need anything, if not, they will send me the TRAVEL DOCUMENT right away.
I'll keep you all posted!

My questions are: (1) Will I be allowed to board the plane going from US to India? What should I say to the airline officer who asks for my I-94 card? , and
(2) Will I have any issues returning back to US? What precautions should I be taking to guard against this?
PS I did some initial research and do not have the time to I-102 since I'm supposed to catch a flight tomorrow.
Any information in the next 12-24 hours would be greatly appreciated.
