I have registered on USCIS website for I-485, AP and EAD. When I logged on today I saw last updated date modified to 11/25/2007.
Email notification for all the registerd cases is turned on. I did not receive any email notification for the updates
Just wondering if some one else in the same boat not receiving emails.
I have given my hotmail email ID, if that matters ?

I searched this and could not find anywhere.
does anyone know for sure that a copy of CURRENT and VALID I-797 is needed for EAD renewal?

We did not renew her I-94. She's my dependent and I'm EAD. She doen't even have an EAD, I haven't appllied for her yet.
Our I-94 are expired now and our AP too. If I need to travel, I will need to apply for a new AP.
BTW, we entered through Denver (DIA).
All you need is your passport and AP. That's all!!!!
You will be on a separate line and the immigration officer will ask you to go to a room and wait there while they verify your status. They will ask you questions to check if your anwers are consistent with your records.

No bill was introduced in Senate. Where is the question of voting? If anti immigrants some how make waste these 2 weeks of time in Senate then there will not be enough time to discuss. Now 60% chance. If no bill is introduced in Senate before end of may it will come down to 40%.

Yes, PD & labor is same. Don't need to apply labor again. Just the I-140 since it's a company take-over.

Hi H1Girl,
Please go back and read my post again. I didn't use the word attorney at all. Please make sure your point is clear before raising a finger on someone. All i am educating him is to file through his employer. In fact i don't personally like attorneys. When i filed my 485 on July 2, i filled the entire application by doing my own research and all my attorney did was signing it. Just to sign it also she said she was busy and she didn't file my EAD/AP.
Sorry kriskris...I misunderstood. I take my words back. Yes, we need Employer help for signing the forms etc since only Employer can file new H1 or H1 extension. Avoid Attroney help just for signing G-28 form. Instead contribute some of that savings to IV if you like.

Did they ask you for the client letter also in your case? In my case the end client(TARP Funded) wont give any letter to contractors. Hope things will be better for you soon.

I think as long as they are not screwing us (EB community) in this bill, it is fine with me. As a matter of fact, I think this bill is important from security stand point also.

Really tragic, I noticed the cause of death was suicide by asphyxiation, they found a plastic bag around his head ?, that totally seems suspicious to me, an IITian will have a tons of job offers in India, so if finances were his problem that is ruled out, love problems ?, sad to see a 23 year old kid pass away like this.

Unless you need to travel immediately, I551 stamp is not important. I am assuming she only declined to stamp the I-551 but the GC was approved.
These days you get the card in 30-60 days from approval. sometimes even within the week so you dont need the stamp. The actual GC card is the I-551 document you need. The stamp let you travel without the card in the days it took around a year for the card to arrive.
Congratulations and get the passport renewed, you would need the current passport for travel anyways.

I got a response for the SR made through Infopass saying that there is lot of work load in NSC so there have extended the processing of my I-485. IN the SR we have asked about the incorrect EB classification and wanted to know the current EB category. This shows that SR responses are most of the times useless. I made a infopass appointment (3rd visit in 1 week) and was indeed able to find that USCIS screwed up my EB classification. Now I am trying all avenues to get this corrected. Because of USCIS's mistake I Lost multiple approval opportunities in last 2 years went dates became current for EB2.
My I-140 clearly shows that it's approved in Eb2 adv Degrees or Exceptional ability category. My lawyer and Employer both have agreed that USCIS has made mistake. in Infopass they created an SR last week with regards to this and there is no response.

How is that you have your PD in EB2 jan 03 and still did not have I-140 approved. I think you could have a issue anytime since EB2 Jan 03 seems to be current.

DOL claimed that the newspaper ad was sent to them without the date of it. So we sent them back the whole paper-page where the date is usually printed at the very top with my job ad on it.

I have taken screenshots of Job Order, Yahoo HotJobs, Professional Organization, University Placement etc. I hope the screenshots showing the ad and all the dates would be good enough.
