If it would be there admin must mentioned it on first thread. Well if it passes cloture, then no amendments are allowed. which means dream act will pass by it self. If it fails cloture vote, dream act will not pass...( so no point of adding amendments )
so to me either dream act will pass as alone or will not.. depends on cloture vote.

Thanks so much for your reply. I think it will always a good idea to keep USCIS inform about your working condition since this is 'Employment based' case.
For AC21 I think I will need to match following:
1. New employment letter which should describe duties which 'must' be same or similar to what was mentioned in my labor certificate.
2. Start date/salary/position title
3. Any Benefits if provided.
Do I need any document from sposerer employer? Do I need anything else?

Advanced degree = MS and higher
Generally STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math all fall under Science/Engineering colleges. Anthing out of this college including MBA, MA, Accountancy, Marketing etc are not included in STEM.
Are you getting this from official sources? I think Accountancy, Marketing and so on would qualify as long as the degree is a Master of Science.

Hi All,
Will we run into any problems for GC replacement since we do not have a photocopy of our GCs? We have photocopies of the approval notices. We know our alien number and SRC numbers since they are the same as listed when we apply for 485. We are hoping to get our passport stamped after we get our passports.
We are hoping to show our tax records as additional proof.
Thanks for all your help.

20K ...is that what it cost you so far ??? that is way too expensive.. I agree how can a poor laborer afford such fees ?
I am single & have invested $14k towards GC (old labor RIR itself $6,900/140/485/ead/ap/premium fees) & still counting (coming up $1000 for H1 extension, $700 ead/ap renewal). And to think initially my Attorney quoted $7,500 :mad: for the entire process, then manipulated to the current fees.
If I had known all this b4hand, would have just found someone to marry years ago. Now I cannot afford a decent apartment/stable address with all these hurdles. :mad:

Hello All,
I am currently on OPT which is valid till July 2009. Also, my H1-B is approved through a company X starting oct 2008. Currently I got a job with company Y on my OPT. Can I continue to work on my OPT with company Y till July 2009? OR Do I need to transfer my H1B to company Y from company X to be able to continue to work after Oct 2008?
Please help. Your guidance is truly appreciated.

Any more thoughts on this issue. I am making a list of documents in three categories: (i) docs/info needed absolutely (ii) docs that are not must but might help (iii) docs that are not needed at all. Please edit this list based on your research (if you can add links/cite docs to support that would be great).
With long delays many people will be using AC21 and we might see these question repeatedly - a sticky thread can really help.
(i) Documents or information that is essential (if you don't have these documents or info don't even think about changing jobs and just stay put at old employer)

I absolutely agree with everyone, background need to be more blurry and the guy in upper right corner need to disappear :), try to edit it in Photoshop, may be make background B&W and more blurry or completely replace it, definitely for this type of picture better use lenses with f/1.4-f/2.8 and fill shadows with flash

I had my interview on the 30th and my passport has not been delivered yet. The VFS website says that the passport has not been handed over to them as of today. I was not given any 221g slip/form and the VO told me that i should be getting my PP in 5 days, it's been a week now and VFS hasn't got the PP yet. Is there something i should be worried about? I have my return ticket booked for next weekend and i am getting a bit nervous about the whole scenario. Does anyone know if there is any other way to get in touch with the New Delhi consulate?

We were exactly in the same situation few months ago. We were told that our visas have been issued and we will get our passports within 5-7 days (no 221g at the time of the interview). After 5 days when we contacted VFS they said wait upto 7 business days. I waited and then they gave me the number of the embassy. When we contacted embassy they said that an email has been sent to me asking more documents but we did not get any emails. We asked them to resend and after 3 days of our request we got their email with a soft copy of 221g(green).
We wish that similar thing may not happen with anyone as we know the tension of going thru it.
I would suggest that you call Embassy instead of calling VFS to get the real status. VFS will just tell if they got the passport or not. They can not tell you the reason.
