Hi folks,
Is there any body out here ported eb3 to eb2 from same employer.
If so what was the process. I have 5 years of experience and 4 yrs of Bachelors Degree.

I am in the similar situation but we never know when and what documents are needed since every day immigration law is changing, keeping that in mind, I renewed mine and my spouse�s EAD

Traveling for the 1st time on AP (used H1 stamp previously, now I am on ead), wanted to know how the experience at SFO is. Do they always send you for secondary inspection? Anything else to know beforehand?
here's the list of docs I have from earlier post:

try POJO method to reach IO. You can find in "n" number of threads to reach IO based upon your service center. but it's based on your luck to get polite and cordial IO. Try multiple times and speak politely.

Press 2 to skip introduction
Press 2
Press 6 to find case status information
Press 1
Now enter your receipt number SRCxxxxxxxxxx
Voice asks if SRC press 1
Then reads out application number, if correct, press 1 (now listen to the case update info..blah blah)
Part way through the blah blah press 3
Wait a moment and press 4
(now if you hear a male voice telling you that no IO is available, it will redirect it to National Customer Service Center (NCSC) you can cut the phone.. and try the same steps)
You should hear "You have reached the TSC of USCIS�" OTHERWISE you have been bounced to NCSC. NCSC only sees what you see when you login to check case status at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp i.e. you will not get any useful information out of them.
Once you get an IO, be very polite, and take notes for your records. Ask them for their badge number. That way you can reference each conversation by date and the badge number of the IO.
Some of the standard questions:
1) Name check Status ?
2) Background Check Status ?
3) Has it been assigned to an officer ?
4) When can I expect to get some updates on my case ?
5) Can you help me with a ball park date on when my case will be assigned to an officer?
Ofcourse, we all are aware of the standard response we get.

Hi All,
My employer filed my I-140 in Texas Service center and I-485/ I-765/ I-131 filed in Nebraska Service center. Is this OK?
When i asked for the reason they are saying they did intentionally. Please clarify.

1. How do you know that we are not approving 2004 cases? Just that you didn't got your approval doesn't mean that we are not approving 2004 cases.
2. There are not that many 2004 cases, so we are approving 2005 and 2006 cases.
3. We divided cases into 3 boxes : 2004, 2005, 2006. It must be a case that IO's assigned to 2006 are working faster and efficiently.
4. We received so many 2006 I-485 applications on 07/02/2007. We are just processing by Receive Date.
5. We made a policy to approve I-485 cases bases on I-140 approval dates. Since we have many cases with old I-140 approval cases that happened to be with earlier priority dates, we are approving them now.
6. There are so many FBI name check hits on 2004 cases. All name hits will be processed later.
7. Oops... we sorted all cases that can be approved, by descending order. Sorry!
8. Time and again we want to approve that we can do anything we want.
9. All EB2 perm cases are really frustrated EB3 cases that have an older EB3 priority dates. We just wanted to be fair to them.
10. Yikes! Dog ate all 2004 cases.

I am currently working on EAD. My current EAD expires on September 9th 2008. I have e - filed for the renewal EAD on June 13th. The way Texas center is processing it may take a while befoire i get the renewal EAD. My question is - Can I continue working on EAD with the receipt notice of renewal EAD?

I filed at TSC, transferred to CSC, receipted, transferred to NSC - so not exactly the same situation. Interesting to note your case filed on 7/27/07 is being processed.

I got RFE on my case my case is NSC-CSC-NSC Transfer. Got Soft LUD in last 2 days and got RFE mail yesterday night. Waiting to hear back from lawyer about type of RFE. But atleast seems like they had started working on my case and if no RFE it would have been approved.

Hi,
I signed an agreement with my employer who is holding my H1 visa. Agreement is saying I should not work for same client for 1 year. While I am on project, client is offering me Permanent job. My employer is saying I should not accept the employment offer from client. If I ignore my employer and accepts the offer from my client, I am going to be in trouble?

Your wife may be able to get a transportation letter/returning resident visa from her US consulate. These are usually given to people who have lost their green cards while overseas, but I have heard of consulates giving them to people with lost APs. It's worth asking. Good luck.

Usually when a lawyer gets blacklisted, there's lots of chaos. The lawyer's new reputation spreads like wildfire and there's a lot of staff changed. A lot of clients fall out.
In my case, I kept good relationships with other clients of my lawyer. I also became good friends with my lawyer's secretary due to being a customer for over 5 years. Yes, that's unfortunately how long I've waited.
All of them told me the same story. Too many miracles, case got investigated, blacklisted.
Ontopic: any other opinions please? A simple what is involved in the process would be greatly appreciated.

guys, the OP clearly mentioned that it was off topic but most of us doesnt agree with what he thinks is good for him. Lets not get into the nitty gritty of pretending or being american or what ever. The more you practice accent or try to put accent into your language the more artificial it will appear. Thats what I have seen and felt. I would appreciate if you confirm if the notarized experience letter is accepted as substitute for the original experience letter. I am planning use a preapproved labor but the job requirement for that labor requires some specific skills. My old employer would not give me the letter. So can I ask my colleague to send me a notarized experience letter ?

Oh God!! People can and will do anything to abuse Labor Substibution.
